Packopsy collects a small amount of personal information, and only when you win a giveaway and go to claim your prize. Here's exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how long we keep it.
We don't collect anything from you just for visiting this site. The only time we ask for personal information is when you've actually won a giveaway and you're using your private claim link to get your prize shipped. That breaks down into three things:
openid, email and profile scopes, the same permissions used just to identify who you are. Nothing about your inbox, contacts, files or anything else in your Google account.
youtube.readonly scope approved through Google's standard OAuth verification review. Once that review is complete, we'll use it to confirm that the YouTube account claiming a prize is the same account that actually won the drawing. This isn't live yet. Until it is, we don't request or collect any YouTube channel data.
The claim page also has a couple of optional fields, like a phone number or a short note, in case we need to reach you about your shipment. We don't collect payment information or anything beyond what's listed here.
Everything we collect exists for one reason: identifying you as an actual giveaway winner and getting your prize into the mail. We don't use your information for marketing, we don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't sell it to anyone. Full stop.
Your Google email is used only to match your claim to your giveaway win and to prevent someone from submitting the same prize twice under different names. Your mailing address is used only to print a shipping label and get your package out the door.
We don't share your information with third parties beyond what's strictly needed to ship a physical package, and right now that need is close to zero. Prizes are currently packed and mailed directly by the channel owner through USPS with a purchased stamp, not through a third-party shipping platform, carrier API, or fulfillment service. Your address stays in our claim records and never gets handed off to an outside shipping company.
If that ever changes, for example if we move to a shipping-label or fulfillment service down the road, we'll update this page before it happens.
Claim submissions are stored in a lightweight backend, currently a private spreadsheet accessible only to the Packopsy team. It isn't a public database, it isn't indexed by search engines, and it isn't reachable from the open internet.
Access is limited to the people who actually pack and ship prizes.
We keep shipping addresses only as long as it takes to fulfill your prize and confirm it went out, generally no more than 12 months after your prize ships. After that, the address is deleted from our claim records. We don't retain address data indefinitely.
Email addresses collected for fraud prevention follow that same window.
Want your claim information deleted before that retention window closes? Email us at packopsy@gmail.com and we'll remove it, as long as the prize hasn't already been packed and handed off to USPS.
You can also revoke Packopsy's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. Doing so won't affect a prize that's already shipped.
Packopsy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google's own handling of your data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
If you sign in with Google to claim a prize, or once YouTube channel verification is live, you can revoke Packopsy's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page. When access is revoked, or when you request deletion directly, we delete any YouTube-linked data tied to your claim within 7 calendar days, unless we're legally required to keep it longer.
Packopsy is a family-friendly channel, but the giveaway claim page itself isn't intended for children. We don't knowingly collect personal information, including shipping addresses, from anyone under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child submitted information to us, email packopsy@gmail.com and we'll delete it.
If what we collect or how we use it changes, most likely once the YouTube channel ID verification goes live, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. We won't quietly expand what we collect without saying so here first.
